How progression works

Character level and card level are different. Treasures arrive at fixed character levels, while even character levels award a point that you decide how to spend.

Even character levels

Gain one character point at every even character level from 4 through 24. Spend it on an ability, the Thief skill, or an HP upgrade.

Odd character levels

Choose one of two treasures at every odd character level from 5 through 23.

Upgrade limits

The skill ends at tier 3. HP may be upgraded four times. A second ability follows the same Thief ability tree.

Level 24 endpoint

A completed level-24 build can have two max-level abilities, a max-level skill, and four HP upgrades.

Thief ability tree

Begin with free acquisitions, then develop toward same-faction chains, stealing from an opponent’s discard pile, or a flexible combination. Use this same tree when developing the Thief’s second ability.
