The Joust is a competition that looks to find the strongest Hero in the Realms by putting participants through a grueling series of tests:
Class Jousts, Group Stage, and the Final Duel.

All participants in the event first went through the Class Jousts. The two finalists from each Class Joust advanced to The Group Stage, which consisted of 10 players evenly divided into 2 separate groups. Group A had 5 randomly selected heroes (one from each class), and Group B had the remaining 5. The Group Stage was a Round Robin format where each hero competed against all of the other heroes in their group in Best of 3 matches. The winner of each group advanced to the Final Duel (with ties decided by record against opponent), which was a best of 7 match.

But enough explanation, let’s get to the results!

<—————————–>

The inaugural Lists have recently completed, and this post celebrates the achievements of those who participated in the event, including the Joust Champion, Ruksak! Ruksak won the event playing as a ranger.

32 individual players participated in the inaugural Lists, which began with 5 separate Joust Tournaments: Cleric Joust (22 entries), Fighter Joust (23 entries), Thief Joust (25 entries), Ranger Joust (21 entries), and Wizard Joust (24 entries).

The Joust rules had participating players bring a single Level 12 character to face off against other heroes of the same class in an elimination tournament. The winners of the individual Class Jousts were:

Cleric Champion:

Fighter Champion:

Ranger Champion:

Thief Champion:

Wizard Champion:

The Class Joust Champions and runners up advanced to the Group Stage.

One stipulation for advancing to the Group Stage was that each individual player was only allowed to bring one character to the stage. DaKatsesMeow was a finalist in both the cleric and thief Jousts, and elected to take the thief to the Group Stage. The cleric player with the next best record was Darklighter, who advanced in his stead. Nudeltulpe was a finalist in both the ranger and fighter Jousts, and chose to take the ranger. Horgle had the next best fighter record and advanced to the group stage in his stead.

5 randomly selected heroes, one from each class, made up Group A with the remaining five heroes forming Group B. Each Group stage pit the top heroes from the Class Jousts in a Round Robin format where each hero competed against all of the other heroes in their group in Best of 3 matches.

Group A:
Cleric-
Fighter- (advances with next best Fighter record at 6-3)
Ranger-

Group B:

Congratulations to Zembu (thief) and Ruksak (ranger) on advancing to the Final Duel, and to Ruksak for his sweeping 4-0 victory, and becoming Grand Champion of the Joust!

And a big thank you to all of the Joust participants for making the inaugural Joust a big success!
